Tour of the Tucson Mountains Honors Steve Bohn — Founder & Director of the Tucson Bicycle Classic

Richard DeBernardis, Founder & Executive Director, is pleased to announce that the Holualoa Companies 26th Tour of the Tucson Mountains is dedicated to Steve Bohn – Founder of the Tucson Bicycle Classic.

For 26 years, Bohn has been instrumental in bringing hundreds of professional and amateur cyclists to Tucson in the spring to compete in his Tucson Bicycle Classic – a 3-day USA Cycling Sanctioned stage race including a time trial, road race and circuit race.  Bohn received an architectural degree from the University of Arizona in 1977 and currently heads up SBC, Inc. – an architectural firm based in Tucson that provides creative architectural services for residential and commercial projects, specializing in custom homes and high-end remodeling and additions of all sizes.  Bohn will be honored at the Thursday, April 26 Dedication Dinner at McMahon’s Prime Steakhouse. El Tour de Mesa benefits  The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ,  its  Team In Training program and Perimeter Bicycling Association of America, Inc. All contributions for the event must be sent to El Tour de Mesa event headquarters or brought to Packet Pick Up.  Check out the opportunities to earn gifts and prizes through fundraising on the  registration link.

Held annually the Saturday before Thanksgiving, El Tour is a fun ride attracting over 9,000 cyclists of all ages and abilities from throughout the United States and beyond, consisting of novice, intermediate, advanced, and professional riders.
